Award-Winning Designer & Visual Communicator

Forough Yazdanpanah is an award-winning designer with a passion for interdisciplinary practice and empathetic design. She began her artistic journey studying visual communication at the University of Tehran’s Fine Arts Department, where she developed a deep appreciation for creative thinking in design, inspired by influential professors like Mostafa Assadollahi.

Her early career took her through diverse creative environments, from boutique design studios and advertising agencies to rapidly growing tech startups such as Snapp!, Iran’s leading ride-hailing platform. Alongside her professional work, Forough conducted research at the intersection of semiotics, feminism, and graphic design, focusing on the identity of Iranian women in visual culture.

After immigrating to the United States, Forough pursued an MFA in Graphic Design at Penn State University, where she refined her unique design philosophy. She specializes in empathetic design, crafting solutions that resonate with human experiences—particularly for highly sensitive individuals (HSPs). Her work delves into the profound connection between emotion and design, using visual communication as a powerful tool to create meaningful and compelling connections.

With a commitment to interdisciplinary practice, Forough continues to contribute to academic and artistic communities, blending research, creativity, and advocacy to redefine how design shapes human perception and identity.
