Hailing from Singapore, identical twin brothers, Thebalaboys (Sriram and Ganesh) are the new stars in the Indian Contemporary Music Scene. Trained in both Indian Classical and western vocals, they have created their own unique and eclectic sound: an adherence to classical vocals infused with a distinctively modern sound.
Recipients of the prestigious Berklee Asia Scholarship graduated from the college with top honors. During their time at Berklee, Thebalaboys performed as lead vocalists with the prolific Berklee Indian Ensemble, a touring ensemble that has headlined international music festivals and consistently staged sold-out productions with live experience design (LED) and cutting-edge technology partners (i.e., Intel and Google Tilt Brush). The ensemble’s videos have amassed more than 200 million views on YouTube.
Thebalaboys have collaborated and performed extensively with acclaimed musicians such as Grammy Award-winning artists Ustad Zakir Hussain and Sri Vikku Vinayakram. They are special interest students of Carnatic Music Maestro Abhishek Raghuram. In March 2022, Thebalaboys headlined the acclaimed ‘The Great India Festival’, Ottawa, sponsored by the Government of Canada. The duo has toured across India, South-East Asia, India, Australia, USA and has performed at prestigious venues such as the Esplanade Concert Hall (Singapore), Madras Music Academy (Chennai), and Berklee Performance Center (Boston).
