Ana Novačić: Transnational Production Designer, Crafting Cinematic Worlds that Echo the Intricacies of the Human Condition and Society.

Hailing from Ex-Yugoslavia, Ana Novačić is a New York-based scenic designer known for her unique vision in film and live performance. Her global experiences stretch from living in countries such as China, Cyprus, Sweden, Italy, and Ireland. Her creative journey began with undergraduate studies in Scenography at the Brera Academy of Fine Arts in Milan, culminating with an MFA in Production Design from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts.

Ana laid the foundation of her creative career in Ireland, crafting scenery and costumes for esteemed venues like Trinity Players Theatre, The Samuel Beckett Theatre, and Project Arts Centre. As her career progressed, she expanded her skills to film and television, contributing as a production designer, art director, and production manager on various projects.

Beyond her design work, Ana’s artistic pursuits also extend into the realms of painting and poetry. As an academically trained painter and a published poet, she leverages a wide array of visual forms to inspire her designs. Her accolades include the Shubert Scholarship and memberships with the Irish Society of Stage and Screen Designers, and IATSE Local 829. Her work stands as a testament to her multifaceted talents and her commitment to creating captivating visual experiences.
