Zoë Hurwitz is a distinguished designer specializing in stage and film with a dual base in New York and London. Her remarkable creations have adorned both US and UK venues, including Here Arts Centre, Ars Nova, The Wild Project, The Sheen Center, Colgate University, and Brown/Trinity Rep in the US. In the UK, her work has been featured at The Orange Tree, Queens Theatre Hornchurch, The Marlowe Canterbury, Arts Ed, Jermyn Street Theatre, Hampstead Theatre, and more.
Among her recent projects, Zoë designed the winning play Barrier(s) for the New Views Festival in the Dorfman Theatre and served as a Design Associate for the Connections Festival 2022 at the National Theatre. Her production design portfolio includes Assisted Living (web series, NYC) and Pear (music video, NYC).
Zoë’s designs are not just visually striking, but also award-winning. Two of her designs were featured at World Stage Design 2022 in Calgary, with ‘Tomorrow Will Take Care of Itself’ clinching first place in the Emerging Designer category. A recipient of the 2019 Linbury Prize for Stage Design and the 2022 JMK Development Award, Zoë has also been a finalist in the Off West End Awards for best Set Design twice, most recently in 2022 for ‘Deciphering’.
A graduate of the MFA Design Programme at Tisch School of the Arts, New York University, and holding a BA in Fine Art from Chelsea School of Art, University of the Arts London, Zoë continues to captivate audiences with her innovative and immersive designs.
